“I Lov 305” at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Biloxi, MS

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi looked to EDG to bring their South Beach “I Lov 305” concept to their Casino. The 3,910 square foot area includes the main bar that features a stage with DJ booth for live entertainment, aerial custom chandeliers and LED video screens. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2018.
Sugar Factory at The Mall of America, Minneapolis, MN

The Mall of America is bringing the Sugar Factory America Brasserie designed by EDG to their mall this year. The 3,586 square foot space is located on the 3rd floor and will be a full service restaurant and bar, confectionary area, and will have digital video screens, celebrity images, and decorative crystal chandeliers. Completion is expected in 2018.
Lennar Landmark Club House Doral, Florida

The latest residential community developed by Lennar in Doral, Florida consist of a 20,000 square foot clubhouse for which EDG was responsible for the Interior Design. The two story building includes the main lobby / reception area, ballroom, lounge area, fitness and exercise rooms, juice bar and yoga room including patio and pool area FF&E design. Project is expected to be completed in 2018.
“I Lov 305” Miami Beach, Florida

The singer “Pit Bull” partnered up with Sugar Factory to have EDG design a new restaurant at the historic BonAir Hotel on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, Florida. The two level space with an approximate area of 5,800 square foot will contain four bars, dining areas and VIP rooms. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2018.
Sugar Factory “Happy Place Donuts and “Gummy World”

The bakery project as designed by EDG is a new concept focusing on baked goods and the production of gummy bears. The project is located in the historic district in Espanola Way in Miami Beach, Florida. The 2,000 square foot space will contain a viewing area for the gummy bear production. Both inside and outside seating is to be provided. Construction will be completed in mid-2018.
Sea Grill at the Village of Merrick Park, Coral Gables

Restauranteurs Tom Billante and Alex Kalas looked to EDG to create a new concept for a seafood restaurant in a 9,434 square foot space adjacent to their Villagio Restaurant. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor dining, two private dining rooms, a fish / seafood display and a water feature. The restaurant is scheduled to open in the spring of 2018.
Villagio at Sawgrass (Colonnade) Sunrise, Florida

EDG Architecture, LLC received its first commission by the Villagio Restaurant partners to design a free standing 6,500 square foot building at the Colonnade shopping complex in Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Florida. The 250 seat restaurant is located adjacent to the PF Changs and Grand Lux restaurants and features a double height dining space, back-lit onyx elements, decorative custom lighting, main bar / wine tower and outdoor dining. Services included Architectural, Interior Design, Structural / MEP Engineering, Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture.
Cure Rx Pharmacy, Kingston, Jamaica

EDG was commissioned to provide Interior Design and branding services for a new pharmacy in Kingston, Jamaica. The two story building with an area of over 27,000 square feet provided more than just pharmaceuticals. Product lines include seasonal items, giftware, cookware, optical, home goods, bedding, food items, make-up, locally produced items, Ice cream and bakery shop. Project is scheduled for completion in 2018.
Spiaggia at the Versace Mansion Miami Beach, Florida

The client from Sugar Factory looked to EDG to create an outdoor dining environment in front of the Versace Mansion. EDG has prepared a conceptual design for approval by the Historic Preservation Board before proceeding with construction documents. The restaurant / bar includes a classically designed covered canopy, kitchen and seating for 85 persons. Project is expected to be completed in 2018.
Sugar Factory ‘Fat Bird” New York

The Owners of Sugar Factory asked EDG to create a new concept in an existing 3,600 square foot diner in Manhattan. This was the first project of this type for Sugar Factory and featured southern cuisine. The restaurant was completed in March 2017.
Macy’s Taste Bar Café Pembroke Pines, Florida

Macy’s Inc. requested that EDG and the MEP Engineer perform a due diligence analysis of the area within the 1st floor for a new 1,845 Sq. FT Taste Bar Café. EDG provided the construction / permit documents with MEP Engineering and construction administration services. The project was completed in the summer of 2017.
Macy’s District Offices Dadeland Men’s and Aventura Women’s / Men’s Stores

New executive offices totaling approximately 9,000 square feet were created at these stores as requested by Macy’s. EDG was responsible for providing construction / permit documents and MEP Engineering. Construction was completed in late 2017.
Bloomingdale's Flagship Store, NYC

Echeverria Design Group has been retained to provide interior design services for Bloomingdale’s flagship store at 59th Street in New York. The team in collaboration with Bloomingdale’s will create new interior concepts for the 2nd Floor, YES Contemporary Women’s, 3rd Floor Ready to Wear, the 4th Floor Designer Shops and the 6th Floor Furniture and Domestics. The project is expected to be completed in 2017-2018.
Lennar Park Central Club House

Lennar has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to provide full interior design services for their Lennar Central Clubhouse located in Doral, Florida. The Clubhouse consists of a grand foyer, lounge, ballroom, game room, offices, billiard room, party room, bar/kitchen, spinning room, fitness center, and aerobics/yoga center. The project was completed in 2017.
Macy’s – Ponce Puerto Rico

Echeverria Design Group was commissioned by Macy’s to provide Professional Interior Design and Planning Services for a new 150,000 square foot two-level store located at Plaza Del Caribe, in Ponce Puerto Rico. The store is scheduled to open in the fall of 2015. EDG, ranked nationally among the top 100 retail design firms and currently celebrating its 36th anniversary creates interiors for a diverse retail clientele, as well as restaurants, offices and public spaces.
Central Shopping Plaza,

EDG Architecture LLC. was commissioned to design a new facade to an existing 1960's shopping center located in Miami Florida. The shopping plaza is anchored by K-Mart and Fresco Y Mas. In addition to the new architectural face lift, new lighting and flooring are being provided. The project was completed in 2016.
Residence at Hibiscus Island Miami, Florida

EDG Architecture has been commissioned by Cocomare, LLC to design a 6,000 square feet residence located in Hibiscus Island Miami Beach, Florida with a grand view of downtown Miami. Breaking ground will be completed in 2016. Additionally, Echeverria Design Group will be providing Interior design Services for the two level residence.
Macy's / Bloomingdale's

Macy's / Bloomingdales has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to provide Interior Design Services for Bloomingdale's Willowbrook store in New Jersery. The 35,000 sq. Ft. remodel will include the Cosmetics and Fragrances, Fine / Fashion Jewelry, Handbags, Women's Shoes and Sunglass Department. Echeverria Design Group will be collaborating with the Bloomingdales Design Team. The project is expected to be completed in fall of 2016.
Macy’s Northlake (Atlanta, GA) and Southgate (Sarasota, Florida) ADA Projects

EDG performed numerous accessibility assessments for various clients which include Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. The firm was contracted to perform an ADA survey of the two stores and to prepare construction documents for all elements to bring them into compliance with current ADA regulations. Elements included entrances, restrooms, elevators, fitting rooms, cashwraps, water coolers and signage. Inspections were performed at completion to insure compliance in 2016.
Macy’s Nike Dadeland Mall Miami, Florida

Nike, Inc. had created a new retail concept that they wanted implemented into the Macy’s Apparel store in Dadeland. The 1,633 space was carved out of the existing sales floor to make room for this new concept. EDG provided permit documents with MEP Engineering and construction administration services. The project was completed in 2014 and EDG implemented the concept into other Macy’s stores.
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)

Presented Mario Echeverria the 2014 Hall of Fame Award in Recognition of Design Achievement during the 2014 ASID Design Excellence Awards on September 19, 2014 held at the Design Center of the America's in Dania Beach, Florida.

Additionally, Echeverria Design Group was presented with the 2014 ASID Design Excellence Award in the hospitality category for the FIU's Wine Spectator Restaurant Management Lab. The Restaurant is part of FIU's Chaplin School of Hospitality. It has been awarded a total of 6 local, regional, national and international awards.
Florida International University

Echeverria Design Group was commissioned by the Architectural firm of MC Harry to design the interior of a new dining room expansion at the FIU School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Biscayne Bay Campus. The Project encompasses approximately 4500 square feet and consists of a dining area for 200 persons, wine tower for storage, tastings and a teaching bar lab. The existing kitchen also will receive a major facelift with new finishes and equipment.
Macy's / Bloomingdale's

Macy's / Bloomingdale's has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to provide Interior Design Services for Bloomingdale's Mission Valley, California and Bloomingdale's Liberty Place in Philadelphia. This will be the 14th and 15th outlet stores to be completed by Echeverria Design Group in collaboration with Bloomingdale's.
IL Bellagio – Palm Beach, Florida

IL Bellagio at City Place in West Palm Beach, Florida has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to provide Professional Interior Design Services to re-design the existing IL Bellagio Restaurant, additional air conditioned space will be added to accommodate customers. The new look will be consisting of new flooring, ceilings, onyx bar, wine-tower, canopies, kitchen and bathroom alterations.
Bloomingdales – Beverly Center, Beverly Hills, California

EDG has been commissioned by Macy’s to provide Interior Design services for the Bloomingdale’s Store at the Beverly Center. The 42,000 sq. ft. second floor remodel will include the Cosmetic & Fragrances, Fine/Fashion Jewelry, Handbags, Women’s Shoes and Sunglass Departments. EDG will be collaborating with the Bloomingdale’s design team.
Villagio – Rosemont, Chicago

Echeverria Design Group has been commissioned by Tom Billante and Alex Kalas to provide Interior Design Services for the new 7500 square feet restaurant to be located in Rosemont Fashion Outlets of Chicago. The project consists of a dining area for 300+ seating, bar, private room for 30, wine towers, lounge seating and an outdoor patio. Other restaurants that EDG has designed for the owners are Carpaccio, Bal Harbour, Bella Luna Aventura, IL Villagio at Sawgrass Mills, Dadeland Mall, IL Bellagio Palm Beach, Naples and others.
Macy’s – Sarasota, Florida

Tom Billante and Gino Falsetto has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to provide Interior and Exterior Design Services to remodel Calamari Restaurant in Coconut Grove, Florida. Echeverria Design Group has designed numerous restaurants for Billante including Villagio in Chicago, Carpaccio in Bal Harbour, Bella Luna at Aventura Mall, IL Bellagio in Palm Beach and others.
Belk Department Stores – Danville, VA and Elizabeth City, NC

Belk Department Stores has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to provide Interior Design services for two store remodels. They are located in Danville, Virginia and Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Restaurant Concept Group - Miami, Florida

Echeverria Design Group has been commissioned by Restaurant Concept Group to design the executive offices for the company’s new warehouse located in Pembroke Pines, Florida. EDG has designed numerous restaurants including Carpaccio Restaurant in Bal Harbour, Il Villagio in Sawgrass Mills and the latest in Rosemont, Chicago at The Fashion Outlet.
Macy’s – Bloomingdales, Dolphin Mall, Miami Florida

Macy’s has commissioned EDG to provide comprehensive Interior Design Services for the relocation of their existing Bloomingdale’s outlet store in Dolphin Mall in Miami to a new location. EDG has been responsible for the prototype design and implementation of 13 outlet stores that are currently open in the US.
Lord & Taylor – 5th Avenue, NY

Lord & Taylor commissioned the Echeverria Design Group to provide Interior Design Services for the main ground floor of the Existing historical 5th Avenue store, additionally floors design by EDG.

The 1913-1914 landmark building in the heart of 5th Avenue was, New York. Lord and Taylor commissioned EDG to provide Interior Design Services to revitalize the interior in the 1st, 2nd, 6th and 10th floors. The work consisted of new showcases, store fixtures, finishes and the integration of new energy efficient lighting into the existing vaulted ceilings. Another key aspect of the project was the removal of walls that blocked windows facing 5th Avenue, brining in natural light and enhancing the shopping experience.
Lord & Taylor

Lord & Taylor has commissioned The Echeverria Design Group to design and develop a prototypical yet essentially adaptable space for its new outlet stores for the New York City-based chain of department stores. EDG’s first conceptual creation-already open, following and unprecedented eight weeks of planning, advises Mario Echeverria, founding principal of the award-winning, Coral Gables-based design firm-is a 15,000-square-foot, single story space at the Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Its design team led by Echeverria, included EDG's Design Team, Ana Peck Sr. Project Manager and Architect Don Lockenbach RA.
Sea Grill Restaurant, North Miami Beach, Florida

Alex Kalas and Tom Billante from Restaurant Concepts Inc. looked to Echeverria Design Group to provide Interior Design Services to the Sea Grill Restaurant located in North Miami Beach Florida. Other restaurants designed for the Group by EDG are Villagio in Chicago, Sawgrass, Merrick Park, Carpaccio in Bal Harbour, and Bella Luna in Aventura.
Bloomingdale's Rosemont, Chicago

Bloomingdale's has commissioned Echeverria Design Group to perform interior design services for the Bloomingdale's Rosemont Fashion Outlet in Chicago,IL. The 27,500 square feet space will be the 13th outlet store to be completed by EDG in collaboration with Bloomingdale's.
Bella Luna Restaurant

The Client of this restaurant decided that the 10 year old restaurant located in Aventura Mall needed a major remodeling. EDG was brought in to design a space with more of a contemporary look and also redesigned the patio that is used for outdoor dining. The outdoor dining area was built in phases in order to allow the restaurant to remain, has a water feature, exposed aluminum trellis with led lighting and a concrete bench that doubles as a planter for landscaping. The interior space occupies approximately 4,187 sq. ft. and the key design elements are the bar, pizza oven and the inside dining open kitchen.
MARIO ECHEVERRIA RECEIVES DCOTA’S “LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD”

Mario Echeverria, founding principal of the Coral Gables-based Echeverria Design Group, was honored in the keynote category of Lifetime Achievement when winners of the Design Center of America’s annual “Stars of Design” awards were revealed at its 2008 WINTERMARKET.

Award recipients – including honorees in the individual categories of interior design, architecture, product design, photography, landscape design, graphic design and art – were selected by a panel of design professionals and members of the media, advises Charles S. Cohen, DCOTA President / CEO.

Echeverria, who inaugurated EDG in 1982, is a professional member of both the Institute of Store Planners and the International Interior Design Association and an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers. A member of the Design Advisory Boards of Miami-Dade College and Florida International University, he also served as the Keynote Speaker this year for ASID’s Student Career Day.

Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation

The foundation commissioned the services of EDG to design their new offices which was built in a new parking garage structure at Miami Children’s Hospital. The administrative offices are located on the ground floor of the new 226,000 square foot building. The space occupies approximately 7,600 square feet and contains staff offices, conference and board/meeting rooms. THE MCHF is a not-for-profit organization with the main goal of raising funds for the Children’s Hospital.
