IL Villagio – Coral Gables

One of Coral Gables loved restaurants that has been reimagined with a colorful pallet of colors and design elements. Taking inspiration from the breathtaking Italian Coasts of Manarola & Portofino, this remodel has brought the spirit of the Italian Riviera to Coral Gables, Florida.

This newly renovated 6,384 square foot restaurant originally design over 15 years ago, was a project that was months in the making. From its original subdued warm settings, this new image now features upgraded environments with bold finishes from the main dining area, new bar concept to a stunning private dining room accented by bright decorative lighting. Flooring is laid out in a simplistic form using large slabs of white stone with accent trims. Custom millwork & metal elements grace the areas as well as the Italian dining chairs. 

As you enter the restaurant marbled stone hostess stand with decorative wood arbor like divider screen with blown glass decorative pendant above. To the left is the upgraded bar accented with back-lit onyx top & waterfall corners with white stone insets. Bar stools fabricated in Italy with an American Upholstery in bright orange leatherette accent the bar area as well as the bright gold tone pendent lights & glass rail as backdrop.

Behind the Bar is a casual semi-private dining area adjacent to the Wine Room. The communal style table is custom fabricated with back-lit onyx top as well as the Italian dining chairs in a bright yellow & white upholstery where guests can enjoy a group dining with the glassed-in climate-controlled wine cooler featuring an impressive selection of wine collections. 

The main dining area features a bright airy feel with the light color pallet up against the double doors & transoms overlooking the restaurant’s dining plaza. Gold accented sconces & pendants balance out the space along with the furnishings including a long custom fabricated banquette that can also be used for group gatherings within the main dining area. Within the Main Dining area opposite the Plaza doors stands an impressive blue tiled wall with hi-def LED screens with videos depicting fly through of the amazing Italian landscapes & sceneries.
